Not all roads in life are smooth and our road is no exception. In 2012 my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. I was in an accident that crushed my shoulder and fractured my neck and was told I may have very limited use of my hand. Less than a year later my oldest son almost died from taking over the counter work out supplements for testosterone boosters and fat burners.  My youngest son was collateral damage in all of this.  Thanks to modern medicine and amazing medical teams we all survived. But survival doesn’t mean it is over. It means recovery.

I spent 2 years of intense painful physical therapy. I have some limits to my range of motion in my arm and neck, and have chronic migraines since the accident. My son recovered and has gone on to become a successful business man and devotes himself to helping others. He was my motivation for getting back into business. My youngest son decided to dedicate himself to medicine. My family is my life and they inspire me everyday. That includes my husband of 30 years.

My Mother was given 4 months and we got 4 wonderful years. She said you have to die of something but until then “get up, dress up, and show up.” Miss her always. My parents were amazing and showed us unconditional love. When it came to naming our company, my sons chose KWL, Kukla for my father, Leslie for my mother, and Wallace for us. We wanted them beside us.

Life is more quiet now, but the lessons learned about the importance of treatment and recovery is what has driven me to the amazing world of Cannabis, CBD, wellness, exercise, and eating healthy. The possibilities are endless when you are open-minded and educate yourself.
